Ms. Anders has been a member of the South Loop School family since 2010 when she joined the team as the school’s general/choral music teacher. Over the years, Ms. Anders has worn many hats at South Loop School. In 2020, Ms. Anders moved into the role of Assistant Principal. Through this role, Ms. Anders continues to share her passion for education and the arts with the South Loop students and families. In her spare time, Ms. Anders enjoys time with her children, traveling to foreign countries, trying new foods and adventures, and immersing herself in the culture of other people. It is her belief, that when we embrace and appreciate our differences as human beings, only then can we truly love and accept one another for who we are. This is the foundation of world peace. Ms. Anders gets the most joy from seeing students thrive in South Loop School. She appreciates the value of and is proud to serve in one of Chicago’s most richly diverse communities.
