Chess Club

The South Loop Elementary School Chess Club a beneficiary of the Chicago Chess Foundation Rook, Rattle & Roll program, to provide free chess access to all students. 

Meetings will be held for all levels and allows kids to play with one another while experienced coach and parent volunteers watch over games to teach tactics & strategy to help advance their skills.  Kids will be given online assignments to continue learning strategies outside of the meetings. 

The club will compete as a team in the monthly Free Chicago Chess Foundation tournaments.
