The South Loop Band
The South Loop Band is part of the regular school day and participates in citywide competitions. More information and the band supply list are available on the South Loop Band website
Chicago Children’s Choir
Through a partnership with the Chicago Children’s Choir In-School program, we established a choir of 20-50 students. Students receive classroom training in proper vocal production, basic musicianship, sight-reading, and music theory, using a Kodaly-based curriculum in line with the National Standards for Music Education and the Chicago Guide for Teaching and Learning in the Arts. A qualified conductor leads singers in development of self-discipline, pride, and intercultural understanding through multicultural repertoire and performance opportunities.
