Winter Clothing Drive & Classroom Toy Donation- November 30-December 16

South Loop Elementary offers an exciting organization by the name of National Junior Beta Club to develop student leadership. As a Beta member, students are responsible for bettering their school, community, and world. This is done by engaging in community service activities within their community or other communities in need. 

South Loop School’s Beta Club is partnering with Jordan Cares ian organization in the Roseland Community again this year  (our 5th year) to bring holiday cheer to 100 families.  The Beta Club is asking for your commitment to giving this holiday season. 

Items can be dropped off or shipped on Nov 30- Dec 16 between 8am – 3:30 pm at the 1212 S Plymouth Court  60605 and/or 1601 South Dearborn 60616 location only. 

You can ship items directly to the school: Attention  Mrs. Tara Shelton.

If any of our SL families are experiencing any hardship during this holiday season, please contact Mrs. Shelton

We are asking for donations of  children and adult size winter coats, new and/or clean gently used, and a donation of one toy per classroom (Each student should bring in $1 to contribute. The homeroom teacher will purchase a toy on behalf of the class).

Each grade level is also asked to donate: 

Preschool- 1 package of undershirts-children size

Kdg – pair of socks 

1st- pair of gloves 

2nd – winter hat

3rd – scarf

4th- 1 package of undershirts-children size 

5th – 1 package of undershirts -adult size

6th – pair of gloves 

7th- pair of socks 

8th- winter hat
