Attention 8th Grade Families: ACTION REQUIRED. Please click to read the message in it’s entirety.

Attention 8th grade Parents

The High school application window closes on Friday, January 8th at 11:59pm. If you have not created an account and applied please contact me so that we can schedule a meeting to do so ASAP.  Please maximize your chances of acceptance by applying to any/all schools that your child is eligible to attend.  If you DO NOT apply to any/all eligible schools you are forfeiting the chance of admission.  Your child can only potentially receive a maximum of two offers. One for a selective enrollment school and one for a choice(non-selective program). Every student is automatically eligible for a seat in the general education program at their neighborhood high school.

For those parents who have already selected and completed an application please continue to check your email as the Office of Access and Enrollment will always send pertinent information, usually time sensitive to that address. They are sending reminders about the selective enrollment exam and you must follow all the steps with the safety protocols to avoid a delay in your child being admitted to the test session.

When applying ONLINE selecting schools and submitting them is step 1 and then you must schedule the additional requirements (i.e selective enrollment exam, auditions, interviews, etc) is step 2.  Log back into your application and scroll down to see if a green RSVP button is next to any schools you have selected that indicates you need to do Step 2.  Remember that steps 1 and 2 must be completed ONLINE by this Friday, January 8th even though you may be scheduled to audition, test etc after the DEADLINE.

Parents that are certain your child is going to attend a  Parochial/Catholic school or leave the district all together for Fall 2021 I need you to complete the letter of intent by this Friday, January 8th. This is information that the District is asking schools to collect.  Please click the link below to complete the letter of intent form.

As always if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me
