DEADLINE TO ACCEPT FRIDAY, MARCH 15TH
Congratulations to all your students who received their high school offers on Friday!
All students must accept or decline their offers by Friday, March 15th, 2024. After the deadline, any unaccepted offers will be automatically declined and students will need to participate in the rolling waitlist if they want to be considered for non-neighborhood programs. Once your OFFER EXPIRES NO ONE can retrieve it for you, not even the Office of Access and Enrollment (OAE). Thus, you should accept an OFFER NOW because if you DO NOT you will automatically be connected to your neighborhood HIGH SCHOOL OFFER which for many of you is Phillips high school.
Accepting an offer DOES NOT impact a student’s waitlist status nor does it impact a Principal Discretion application. Therefore, all students should accept an initial offer and they can remain on the waitlists for other programs. Schools will start to make waitlist offers in April when the HS rolling waitlists opens and will continue throughout the summer and into the school year. We strongly encourage all families to accept an initial offer and then if they receive a waitlist offer they will be able to choose if they want to accept the waitlist offer at that time.

If you are going to apply for Principal Discretion the Handbook is here PD Handbook SY24. Please note: This is a new and separate application. The SEHS PD application will open on Wednesday, February 28th and will close on Friday, March 15th. The link to apply can be found in the student’s GoCPS online account.
Please follow the Handbook for a successful submission. PD results will be released on APRIL 19th, 2024.
