PRINCIPAL DISCRETION
This is to inform you that the timeline and the process for Principal Discretion have been finalized and the Principal Discretion Handbook and FAQs are now available on the GoCPS website — go.cps.edu — under ‘High School’ and ‘Principal Discretion.’
PLEASE NOTE:You can only apply to ONE of the six selective enrollment schools on your original application. I highly recommend you choose 1 of the top 3 schools you originally selected as the school will know where you ranked them.
The application period will open at 9 am on Monday, April 27th and end at
6 pm on Friday, May 8th. Applicants will be able to submit their Application Packages via an online portal.
The link to the online portal will go live on the Principal Discretion page starting at 9 am on April 27th. Detailed instructions will be provided on the online portal on how to submit the Application Packages online.
