The YMCA of Metro Chicago’s digital inclusion projects will inform CPS families of tech resources available to them. The YMCA of Metro Chicago assists CPS parents, guardians and community members with learning tech skills and overcoming tech challenges.
YMCA Technology Resources
1) Chicago Connected free high-speed internet. CPS families who qualify for free or reduced lunch can sign up for 4 years of free high-speed internet.
2) Bilingual Community IT Help Desk. In-person, over-the-phone and remote technical assistance and learning guidance from an IT professional

3) Computer Learning Labs (on-site technical assistance and 1-on-1 learning support)
- Rauner YMCA – 2700 S. Western Ave. – Tues, 8am‐1pm & Thurs, 2pm‐7pm (Support in Spanish and English)
- South Side YMCA – 6330 S. Stoney Island – Wed, 12‐2pm / Thurs, 10am‐2pm / Fri, 2‐6pm
- Kelly Hall YMCA – 824 N Hamlin Ave. – Mondays, 6pm‐8pm & Tues/Weds, 10‐1pm
4) Northstar Online Learning System. Learners can test their knowledge, learn new computer skills and earn certificates to show to employers from anywhere with an internet connection. Learners can choose to work independently or can work with YMCA Lab and Help Desk staff using this online learning system.
