Two years ago, South Loop Elementary students unveiled a “Hero Wall” in the middle school building, dedicated to beloved South Loop parent and volunteer, Paul Bauer. The purpose of the wall is to honor and thank the selfless and hardworking everyday heroes in our school and our community.

Over the last two years, we’ve seen so many examples of love, compassion, service and a call for social justice and equality. With this in mind, South Loop is updating the Hero Wall and will continue to update it on a regular  basis.
Here’s how to help: If you would like to nominate a member of the South Loop School community as an everyday hero, please submit a brief story about how they are making a difference along with a picture (if possible) to HeroWallSLES@gmail.com. Please respond by Friday, March 4th.
Meanwhile, our Beta club members will also be collecting this information from their peers, so we can highlight our student heroes.

We look forward to updating the Hero Wall and celebrating the many people making a difference in our South Loop School community.

If you have any questions, please email Carrie Smaroff at cldahlquist@gmail.com. Thank you.
