It’s official, we have a Chess Club free for all students!

We have been officially accepted into the Chicago Chess Foundation’s Rook, Rattle & Roll program. As a part of this program they will be assisting us in getting our new chess club started!

This is great news because participating in the Chess Club will now be FREE. (PLEASE NOTE: This is not the same as the Youth Guidance enrichment offered on Tuesdays). We have secured 2 parent coaches and the CCF has secured an expert coach who is a student at IIT.

Being part of the program, The CCF will provide us with chess equipment, instructional materials, a stipend for a chess club coach, mentorship for the coach, and assistance in participating in at least one free Chicago Chess Foundation (CCF) chess tournament on a needs basis.

Preliminary times for practices are as follows but may change (and start date is TBD). All would be welcome to either or both practices.

Primary building Thursdays @ 4:30PM
Middle School building Mondays @ 4:30PM

We need to provide the CCF with approximately how many kids we can enroll, so they can plan for how many chess sets they can provide.  Please fill out the form below if your child(ren) are interested, so we can give them an estimate.

Thanks! Please contact us with any questions.
