Program Description: The Actuarial Foundation’s Math Motivators program is interested in partnering with Chicago Public Schools and Charter Schools to improve students’ ability and confidence in math. The Math Motivators program provides free math tutoring with volunteer tutors who enhance math education and serve as mentors for middle and high school students who do not otherwise have access but need help with math.  The program’s volunteers are professionals and college students with strong math backgrounds.

Program Objectives/Curriculum Connections: Math Motivators primarily focuses on pre-Algebra and Algebra 1, but can support any math subject, including higher level high school math. There also is a free prep program for the math section of the SAT and ACT. Families can find out more at our website.
