Dear South Loop Parents and Families,
It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Resident Principal of South Loop Elementary School. I have been a dedicated elementary school counselor for eighteen years and have worked with students and families in a variety of ways. In the role of Resident Principal, I will continue to support students in the academic, social emotional and career domains. I view education as a life-long process and expect that I will continue to learn much about the uniqueness of the South Loop community this year. Most importantly, I bring a belief that students are at the center of all school-related decisions. I am excited to unite my experience, my openness to learn, and my child-centered approach to support South Loop students. I am thrilled to bring my skills as a counselor and leader to support the diverse student needs represented in South Loop and to have the opportunity to help lead alongside some innovative thinkers, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. Because the relationships between teachers, administrators and families are vital to the success of our students and school, I will enjoy exploring the school and getting to know the wonderful South Loop community! I am beyond excited to meet all of you.
