Summer Job Opportunity for High School Students

Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) is offering a Summer Job opportunity for students 16+ below:

The Junior Program is a job that encourages kids to be safe while riding a bike. Last year CDOT educated more than 1,500 children and teens in the park district. They also added their first peer-to-peer Learn to Ride classes. This wouldn’t be possible without the young people we hire. Junior Ambassadors work at a different park each day and get paid to ride a bike and teach kids with a simple safety presentation and bike rides.

Attached is a flyer to share with students, schools, and partners. The sooner students reach out, the better. CDOT will assist them through the application process and later provide a virtual meet and greet with students and parents.

Please remind students the first step is the easiest. All they have to do is send an email followed by information on the flyer.
