Thank you and Happy New Year!

Dear South Loop Families,

As 2021 draws to a close, we want to reflect on how much the students of South Loop Elementary School have benefitted from your generous donations of time and money this school year.

The Fall Fundraiser was a huge success, raising over $33,000! Proceeds from the event will fund critically-needed classroom instructional support, the library at the Middle School, and recess coverage for all South Loop School students. And, it was exciting to finally bounce back to fun in-person events with our community health and safety top of mind.

We want to express our gratitude to all those who donated or participated and to the many businesses who provided sponsorship and in-kind support, including CCL, Trader Joe’s, Jet’s Pizza, Stan’s Donuts, and Mariano’s.

Last, but not least, the Fall Fundraiser would not have been possible without the help of amazing volunteers and the tireless efforts of the Fall Fundraising Committee, including Jemia Cunningham-Elder, Betsy Balgooyen Keller, Ana Kostic, Chiara Gasparetto, Janel Gould, Kate Neville, Angelique Zobitz.

If you haven’t had the chance to get involved, please consider making a year-end donation  and/or sign up to volunteer in the new year. Your support and commitment to South Loop Elementary School is an essential part of what makes our school strong and our students successful. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at

Thank you again for your partnership. And best wishes for a happy and healthy new year!
