Ms. Chueng

I teach 4th grade science and expository writing. This is my second year at South Loop, though I have been teaching for five years. I am originally from the Detroit area, and received a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan. I moved to Chicago in 2009. In 2014, I completed the Elementary Education teacher certification program at Northeastern Illinois University with endorsements in Language Arts, ESL, Social Studies, and Science. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a textbook and library reference editor.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband on home improvement and decorating projects, watching movies and documentaries, and traveling to places to enjoy the great outdoors.
