Hi! I’m Ms. Garcia, the 6th grade math teacher. I couldn’t be happier to start my fifth year teaching at South Loop! I’m a proud Chicago native, and grew up in the vibrant neighborhood of Pilsen, which shaped my love for community, my appreciation for culture, and my ability to speak Spanish. When I am not in the classroom, you can usually find me out exploring the city, checking out new restaurants with my family, or traveling. This year, my goal is to build strong, meaningful relationships with both you and your student while helping them grow in knowledge, confidence, and success. I believe in setting high expectations because I know what students are capable of, and I will be holding all of my students to this standard. With your trust and partnership, we can give students the structure, support, and encouragement they need to reach their full potential. Let’s make this year one to remember!
