I have been at South Loop School since 2006. First as a student teacher, then I was hired officially In 2007. I spent 5 years teaching 4th grade, which I loved. Since then, I taught 5th-7th Grade Social Studies for five years, and now I teach media literacy/technology for grades K-8. I also serve as the school’s technology coordinator. I graduated in 2007 with my B.A. in Elementary Education and got my Masters in Ed. in 2012. I am also a Google Certified Educator!
When I’m not at SL, I love to spend time with my family, especially my daughter Penelope. We love college football, concerts, and parks. We also like seeing our family in the suburbs, especially my nephew Sebastian’s baseball games. I love tacos, steak, and iced tea. My current obsessions are birria tacos and Colleen Hoover books. My never ending obsessions are Target, Starbucks, Poké, and dirty chai tea lattes with oatmilk.
