The second annual Fall Fundraiser took place on Tuesday, October 17, at a favorite neighborhood spot – The Scout Waterhouse + Kitchen.
With perfect weather and the Cubs playing in the NLCS, our school fundraiser was set up for success — even if the Cubs were not.
Our school packed the room with over 150 parents, teachers, and community leaders to raise over $15,000 for our school — all while enjoying good food, a Golden Lion cocktail, and great conversation. The ambience was lively and it was exciting to see the Limited Edition Golden Lion T-Shirt throughout the event!
We could not have accomplished this event without the direction of Ms. Shelton and the Fall Fundraiser Committee members (in alpha order, all equally important): Rishi Agrawal, Tia Angelos, Will Barroso, Tracy Carlson, Lauren Janicki, Jules Melhado, Xiomy Rodriguez, Tara Rossi, Elena Savona, Saadia Siddique, and Heidi Stevens.
Many thanks to all who attended and for all the amazing donations through ticket sales, t-shirt sales, and auction items! Because of you we were able to raise funds for South Loop Elementary School!!
