On April 20th, SLES dads and daughters filled the school’s gymnasium for the annual Daddy Daughter Dance. This year the theme was “Cinderella Ball” – the hall was certainly full of pomp and circumstance; and the energy of girls young and younger. The girls were absolutely stunning with beautiful dresses, fancy shoes, corsages, and perfectly styled hair. The Dads did not disappoint, as they looked handsome and dapper with the special pride that a Dad has for his daughter.
The planning committee did a great job with the décor, the food/drink, and the energetic music. Many of the dads took the chance to catch up with each other as their daughters ran around with their friends. But, they would not get away with that for too long. The dance floor was full of dads trying to keep up with their daughters, but hey, they held their own – if only the moms could see them get down with their girls.
For many, the night did not end at the school. There were large groups of dads and daughters that went out for a late night shake and snack. The evening was a huge success, one that dads and daughters will cherish for a long time. Thanks so much to the planning committee and all of the volunteers!
