Have you walked or driven by the new school yet? It’s looking really good!
The outside looks almost done and the inside looks like it’s coming along quickly. The brick varies from black to white to blue. It looks like one of the biggest elementary schools in Chicago!
If you walk by on 16th Street you can see the cafeteria, which has floor-to-ceiling windows and looks big and bright.
If you walk around the back, on 17th Street, you can see one of the playgrounds. According to building plans, there will also be a playground on the roof.
The building plans also show enough lockers for each kid to have a locker and artwork all throughout the building. It looks like there’s going to be a big gym too!
It’s looking great! I can’t wait to go to school there.
