What an absolutely amazing City Championship for debate. Our Varsity teams squared off in a match for 1st and 2nd Place! In what was by far the best debate that I have witnessed in 5 years of coaching, Miles Reeves and Zach Ziegler took the title of the BEST in the city. Grace Bauer and Becky Chan came in a close second – it couldn’t have been any closer.
The team also won many other great awards:

Zach Ziegler – Seventh Place Speaker

Eleanore Wallace – Nineteenth Place Speaker
This marks the end of the city debate season. I am so proud of our team. The kids have come so far, worked hard, and gained a confidence that is unique to the debate experience. I’ll be honest, debate is hard, lots of work, and is a big time commitment, but the value to these kids is meaningful and lasting. I hope to see many more kids next year.
