By Alessio C., 4th grade
On Dec. 20 students from grades 2nd-8th will be performing in the gym at the main building to celebrate the winter holidays. The performances will include a winter concert of 4th-8th grade bands and a winter musical of 2nd-5th grade music.
I asked Mr. Zettl, the band teacher, why this is a tradition for our school and he said, “We like to show off our skills and relax before the winter break.”
Mr. Zettl told me that all 4th-8th graders in band wear concert attire, which is all black and he gave me a preview of the program. The concert is structured by grade, one song after another.
Kindergarten and 1st grade had a separate winter musical on Dec. 13th.
