Attention Parents: Information Regarding Automated Library Notices

We have been so excited to utilize an actual library check out system. The system was rolled out last school year to the middle school and this year at our primary building. The system is still new and the parent volunteers who run our libraries are working diligently to help students check out books and use our libraries to its fullest potential.

With that being said, Alexandria (the check out system platform), sends out automated emails each week to student emails (and some parent contacts who are linked). These automated messages may be an overdue notice and include a fine/fee to pay for any lost books. The system required a CPS email to send the notices, which is why they come from Ms. Garcia’s email address, however they are not being sent from her directly.

Since this is a fairly new process, we are not enforcing the fines/fees this year. The volunteer team is still working out the kinks in the system and the process for overdue or lost books. Please use this as a friendly reminder to your child on library etiquette and expectations! If the lost book does not turn up as we near the end of the school year, you are welcome to pay the suggested $10 donation.

If you have any questions, please do not reply to the automated email. Instead, contact the parent volunteers at  for Middle School or Jaclyn Stuard () for the Primary Building.

Thank you!
