Dear Parents and Guardians,
This is a gentle reminder to please pay your $75 school fee per student (max 2 students). This year, the school fee will be used to replenish outdated chromebooks for students. Prior to Covid, we would raise funds and use school fees to purchase devices for student use. From 2020-2023, the district provided devices to schools, however CPS will no longer provide replacements for end of life devices.
The cost to replace outdated devices is just over $45,000. We are looking to replace around 100 devices. We have not had a device replenishment since 2023, so many of our devices that we have had since 2020 or prior have reached their end of life cycle.
With this year’s budget constraints, we are relying on the school fee for new devices, while fund raising efforts support other needs within the school.
