South Loop Family-
As we wrap up 2024, I have been reflecting on the amazing accomplishments South Loop School has had this year. We know our teachers and staff here work tirelessly to provide meaningful activities and instruction for our students every day, however their efforts go hand in hand with the commitment from our supportive parents. I would also like to share my sincerest gratitude to all of our families who dedicate so much to the vision of success for our school.
By the end of last school year, we hit a huge milestone by exceeding our fundraising goals throughout the year. This allowed us to supplement resources for our teachers, make upgrades to our library and FUSE lab, and provide extra curricular programs in our Fine Arts and STEAM programs. Below you will see some of the things that we were able to get due to YOUR generous fundraising efforts.
- Stages Chicago After-School Theater Program: $7000
- Common Threads Cooking Class:$5000
- Children’s Choir: $5000
- Robotics with Nexplore:$5000
- Library Upgrades:$2000
- Fuse Lab: Stem Upgrades:$6000
The revamp that both our primary and middle school libraries have received is remarkable. We are so grateful for the teams that have taken on these projects. It was a HUGE undertaking and we love seeing how excited our students are to have a functional library!
Thank you to all of our parents who have dedicated their time to coach both academic and sports teams. Thank you to those who have also dedicated their time to plan and organize the various events and fundraisers we love to see each year.
I am always truly humbled by the enthusiasm for parent involvement within our school community. It is a true testament that it takes a village in order for our students to be successful in ways that are both memorable and meaningful. I look forward to our families continued support, and I would be so thrilled and honored to see that support grow in the new year.
