South Loop Elementary offers an exciting organization by the name of National Junior Beta Club to develop student leadership. As a Beta member, students are responsible for bettering their school, community, and world. This is done by engaging in community service activities within their community or other communities in need.
South Loop’s Junior Beta Club is partnering with Jordan Cares, a community organization in the Roseland Community again this year (our 6th year) to bring a holiday dinner to 100 families.
The Beta Club is asking for your commitment to giving this holiday season.
Items can be dropped off or delivered to 1915 South Federal Street 60616, 1212 S. Plymouth Ct 60605, or 1601 South Dearborn Street 60616 building.
You can also ship items directly to the school: Attention Mrs. Tara Shelton, homeroom teacher and your child’s name. Label donated items. Classroom in each building with the most donations will earn a movie party

We are asking each grade level to donate the following:
Preschool: can of sweet potatoes
Kdg: can of green beans
1st: : box of mash potatoes
2nd: box of stove top stuffing
3rd: can of corn
4th: can of green peas
5th: can of cranberry sauce
6th: can of gravy
7th: box of mac & cheese
8th: box of cornbread mix
