The 2024 boys’ soccer season for 5th grade to 8th grade boys will start the first week of school. The girls’ season is in the spring.
Practices will be held twice a week after school and games are on Saturdays. All those interested in joining the team should attend the first practice on Wednesday, August 28th immediately following school. The team will meet at 3:45 in the school lobby, dressed ready to practice.
CPS has not shared the season schedules yet. Based on previous seasons, students in 7th and 8th grade will have games from early September through October and students in 5th and 6th grade will have games from mid-October through November. Some 6th grade students may be asked to play on the 7th and 8th grade team. If a student plays games on the 7th/8th team, they are not allowed to play games on the 5th/6th team per CPS rules.
Practices and games will not be held on CPS holidays. Practices will be held at Ping Tom Park. Game locations are determined by CPS and shared closer to game days.
The soccer team is parent volunteer managed. More volunteers are needed. Volunteers are needed from August to November to help with practices from 3:45 to 5:30 PM two times per week and two to four hours on game days.
