The Chicago Fire FC are in the playoffs! In an intense match on Sunday, the Chicago Fire FC tied in regulation, but were defeated in penalty kicks. However Round 1 is best of 3, so we still have a chance.
On Thursday, October 30th students and staff are invited to wear their Fire FC merch, kits, and spirit wear. With an SLES ALUMNUS (Class of 2018) on the team- Justin Reynolds (#36), we need to bring on our LION PRIDE ENERGY to help secure a win this weekend (November 1st). Students who do not participate, must come to school in uniform.
*FUN FACT- Justin Reynolds scored his FIRST CAREER MLS GOAL with the club on September 30th against Inter Miami CF. It was the GAME WINNING GOAL to clinch their victory to the playoffs!
From the Chicago Fire FC News: “Homegrown defender Justin Reynolds tallied his first goal with Chicago Fire FC in the 80th minute of the match. The goal was also of the game-winning variety, making him the ninth different Fire player this season to get a game-winner and the goal that would push Chicago into the postseason.”
