If your child has been potentially exposed to COVID-19, South Loop School can provide you with a free testing kit containing two COVID-19 rapid tests. Please take the tes on the first day of symptoms and/or exposure and again on the 3rd day of symptoms and/or exposure.
Please follow the instructions on the test package. If you test positive, please report the case to CPS at https://cps.edu/covidresults and isolate at home for 5 days following the positive test. Masking is REQUIRED upon returning to school from isolation for an additional 5 days
Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is committed to keeping our school communities safe from COVID-19. The District was recently made aware that one or more person(s) at SOUTH LOOP PRIMARY Building has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) and CPS are highly encouraging staff and students who may have been exposed to wear a mask for 10 days from the latest exposure.
