Please thank Alderman Pat Dowell for working with CDOT regarding improvements to West 16th St. and South Dearborn St- Middle School Building.
Per the recommendations of CDOT, Alderman Dowell has allotted funding for the installation of detached bump-outs. This will help improve sight lines, reduce turning speeds, narrow the crossing distance for pedestrians and slow down vehicles traveling through the intersection.
Weather permitting construction will take place during the 2024 Construction season.
