Parents and Students,
Our Out of Uniform Fundraiser has ended. Please ensure that your child is coming to school dressed in their school uniform daily.
Students are required to wear the approved school/pe uniform daily. We are seeing an increase in Nike, Essentials God, Colleges/High Schools, and Extracurricular Tournament outwear.
Students can only wear South Loop logo items to school. All other uniform/pe items must be solid color at all times. Students are allowed to wear a purple shirt and Jeans on Wednesdays.
Failure to follow the school uniform policy could result in students not being allowed to participate in extra-curricluar activities sponsored by the school.
Uniform Policy
The South Loop Elementary School uniform consists of solid navy-blue bottoms and white tops:
- Bottoms: Solid Navy blue uniform pants, shorts, capris, skirts, or dresses to the knee. Leggings and jeans are not permitted.
- Tops: Solid white shirts with sleeves. Sweaters and sweatshirts may be white or navy blue.
- The only permitted logo is the South Loop Elementary School logo or motto. Tank tops, brand logos, stripes, polka-dots, etc. are not permitted.

- Outerwear & Accessories: Outerwear (coats & jackets), tights, socks, shoes, and hair accessories are at your discretion. Shoes should be appropriate for school activities, including recess. Flip flops, open-toe shoes, crocs, yeezy slides, and skate shoes are not permitted.
- General uniform items can be purchased at Target, Sears, JCPenney, Zemsky’s, Amazon, or Children’s Place.
- Uniform options with the South Loop Elementary School logo or motto can be purchased from our school’s new spirit shop at https://southloopshop.com or gently used options at our Resale Shop, opened periodically throughout the year.
P.E.Uniforms
Your child is assigned a specific day of the week for P.E. class.
A South Loop Elementary School P.E. uniform is required on the student’s assigned P.E. day.
- The mandatory South Loop School P.E. Uniform consists of solid navy blue shorts or sweatpants and a solid gray top
- Wearing a solid blue shirt and solid gray pants is not an approved gym uniform.
- Gray SLES P.E. shirts, gray sweatshirts, blue shorts, or pants can be purchased at the school’s spirit shop https://southloopshop.com.
- Gym/Tennis Shoes are required for P.E. Students will not participate in P.E. without the required P.E. uniform or gym shoes.
